Slide Unlock for Symbian Phones

One nifty feature of iPhone is their slide unlock function which enables users to slide their finger across the touch screen to unlock the device.

So is there a way to have this cool feature on Symbian phones? Yes, there is!

This nifty Symbian application is nUnLock. Besides the slide unlocking function, it also acts as a screensaver showing the current time, battery stamina, and call status. Different from other Symbian apps, uUnlock allows you to configure almost everything possible. You can configure the homescreen image to your favourite wallpaper, adjust the slider sensitivity, font colour and text display.

Signing Unsigned Applications on Nokia Phone

One of the biggest problems that users face on Symbian OS powered Nokia phone is that during the installation of an application, the phone shows a message that says the application is unsigned and you should sign the application to use it. Here is a simple guide that will let you know how to sign unsigned application.

Step One
You need to have a non-standard email address. Now what does that mean?  It means that you need an email address on a private domain and not ones like Gmail and Hotmail. If you do not have one, you can visit 2ip.com and then select an email on any domain. Once you are done with it, you can head on to the step two.

Nokia 7705 Twist Review

Verizon brings to Nokia 7705 which is one of the smallest phones that is available in the market. Nokia has named it Twist because there is a hidden keyboard that twists out. This phone has been released by Nokia to give competition to phones like Samsung Alias 2 and LG enV3. It measures only 69 x 69 x 15 mm and weighs 98g. The QVGA display measures 2.4 inches and has a display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and supports 262k colors. The light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the display depending on the lighting conditions.

HTC Tattoo Review

HTC Tattoo is an effort from HTC to bring affordable Android phone to the market. From this you can understand, the HTC Tattoo is not a phone that is fully loaded with features. It is compact smartphone and since its body is made up of slithery plastic, it does not allow you to hold phone firmly. The phone weighs 113g and measures 106 x 55.2 x 14mm.  It has got resistive TFT touch screen display that measures 2.8 inches and supports 65k colors and has got a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

LG eXpo GW820 Review

After a long time, LG and AT&T have brought a phone to the market that is powered Windows Mobile OS – LG eXpo GW820. AT&T brings to you the new HTC smartphone – HTC Tilt 2. The USP of the phone is its tilting touchscreen display. The very first look at the phone will make you understand that it is business phone.
