This all happened after there was an update to the Droid phones. I could never find the color option and have been taking important pictures that really need to be color. Anyone have an answer?
Thanks

Scroll down till the end (Yes , it does have scrolling down options- whih I didn't realise it had previously)and in the camera settings- select restore factory defaults. All your problems will be resolved.

I had the same issues, until I realised that the very first button which looks like a donut has a restore setting options. That is until I just accidentally brushed the screen and then the the thing started giving me the options. So I just kept brushing the screen down and until the "normal" mode came up and then it went back to color but now I have an outline in the picture frame that I do not want and can't get rid of. Sheesh!!!

I went to the effects and tried everything to make the thing give me some options I saw the little dots that it should be able to select from but could not get it to move. I couldn't find the color setting anywhere else.

I just figured out that if you flip the camera to the video setting, you then have the ability to change the setting from b&w back to color.
