Samsung Gravity 3 Review

T-Mobile brings the refreshingly new Samsung Gravity 3 to the cell phone arena. It measures 116.8 x 53.6 x 15.2 mm and weighs 123g. The phone looks very cute and the body appears to be very durable. The build quality is good and it feels very comfortable to hold this phone.

Samsung Gravity 3 has got a QVGA display which is capable of displaying 262k colors at a display resolution of 240 x 300 pixels. On the right side of the phone, you can find the microUSB port and a camera launcher button. On the left side of the phone, you can find the volume rocker. In order to access the microSD slot, you will have to uncover the battery cover. The 2 megapixel camera is located at the rear with a single speaker.

Samsung Strive A687 Review

After the success of Samsung Propel, AT&T brings to you a very cool phone – Samsung Strive A687. It is a portrait slider phone which means the QWERTY keyboard of the phone can be accessed by sliding the display upwards. The phone looks quite smart and is very comfortable to hold. The phone measures 105.9 x 58.9 x 14.6mm in measurement and weighs 113.1g.  The QVGA display of the phone measures 2.6 inches and is capable of displaying 262k colors with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

Below the display of the phone, you can find a five way d-pad and the usual soft keys. On the left side of the phone, you can find the volume controller and the camera launcher.  On the right side of the phone, you can find a microUSB port that can be used for charging and data transfer. The 2 megapixel camera is located at the rear of the Samsung Strive. To access the microSD card, you will have to uncover the back panel of the phone. The QWERTY keyboard is easy to use; however you will require some practice to get used to it.

LG Vu CU920 Review

AT&T brings to you the new mid range LG phone – LG Vu CU920. The phone has got attractive design and the USP of the phone is that it allows you to watch television on the phone. This means you will be able to catch upon your favorite television programs from TV channels like FOX, NBC, ESPN and many more wherever you go.

Since the best feature of LG Vu Cu920 is its capability of allowing the users to watch TV on the go, the phone has got 3 inch touch screen display. It has a display resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and is capable of displaying 262k colors. The display becomes unusable and loses clarity if you view under direct sunlight. After using for a day, we realized the response of the touch screen was quite impressive.

LG Prime Review

AT&T brings to you the first touch screen prepaid cell phone – LG Prime. The phone looks very similar to the LG Vu Plus. It measures 108 x 53 x 13 mm and weighs only 89g. It is a very lightweight phone and the body of the phone is made up of plastic. The resistive display of the phone measures 3 inches and has a display resolution of 400 x 240 pixels and is capable of displaying 262k colors. The display becomes unusable when you view it under direct sunlight.

Below the display of LG Prime, you can find three physical buttons – Send, Clear/Back and Power/End buttons. On the left side of the phone, you can find the microSD slot and the volume controller. On the right side of the phone, you can find the display lock key, charger slot and the camera launcher. At the top you will find the 3.5mm audio jack. As usual, the camera is located at the rear.

Samsung Acclaim Review

U.S. Cellular brings you the new Samsung Acclaim phone (aka Samsung SCH-R880) which is powered with Android OS. The phone measures 114 x 59 x 15mm and weighs 130g. The body of the phone is made up of glossy black plastic and it appears to be very durable. The TFT touchscreen display measures 3.2 inches and has a display resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and is capable of displaying 256k colors. The accelerometer rotates the display whenever it is held sideways or when you slide out the QWERTY keyboard. The proximity sensor turns of the display when a call is in progress.

Below the display of Samsung Acclaim, you can find four physical buttons namely, Menu, Home, Back, Search and an optical trackpad. On the left side of the phone, you can find the microSD slot and volume controller. The camera launcher and charger port is located at the right side. On the top you can find the 3.5mm audio jack. At the rear, the 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash can be found. The mechanism of the QWERTY keyboard is smooth and all the keys are evenly placed but some users may take time to get the hang of it.
