This phone is the first phone from AT&T to run the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system. The phone looks quite appealing. However, the covering of the phone is made up of glossy plastic which means your fingerprint impression will remain on the phone every time you touch the phone.

HTC Pure has a 3.2 inches resistive touchscreen display screen with a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The accelerometer will help you in rotating the display of the phone when you turn in the horizontal and vertical direction. The dimension of HTC Pure is 108 x 53 x 13.7mm and weighs only 117.5g.

The internal memory of the phone is 288MB and it can detect up to 16GB of microSD card. The performance of the phone is quite good as it is powered with Qualcomm MSM7210A 528 Mhz processor. One of the best features of this phone is the 5 megapixel camera. It lacks flash but comes with features like digital zoom and autofocus. The photos that were taken outside through the camera appeared to be very rich in detail, however the clarity photos in a dim environment was found to be poor as the camera does not have flash. It has also got a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

The video player can play various video formats such as MP4, WMV, H.264 and H.263. The sound output of the phone is nothing special whether you listen to the music through headphone or through the loudspeaker. The output is loud but not impressive. The music player can read files like MP3, WAV, WMA, and eAAC+. You can videos on the web through the YouTube client.

As far as social networking needs is concerned, the phone has Facebook and Twitter application. The phone comes with Pocket Office which can be used for viewing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and PDF. When you are bored you can play motion-based games on the phone. The HTML browser of the phone is quite impressive and loads websites quite quickly. You can surf on the web and video calls at 7.2Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA.

HTC Pure has a standard Li-Ion 1100 mAh battery that has a battery life of up to 360 hours on stand-by and up to 5 hours and 40 minutes of talk time. Other feature of the phone includes, assisted GPS, v2.0 Bluetooth with A2DP, Wi-Fi, and stereo FM with RDS.
