1Nokia 5800 XpressMusic was an instant hit the moment it was released. If you felt that the Nokia 5800 touch screen was an expensive phone, Nokia decided to launch a new phone at a comparatively low price. Yes, we are talking about the new Nokia 5630 XpressMusic phone. It has got almost all the features of Nokia 5800 without a GPS support. Basically, 5630 XpressMusic is a mid-range music phone with plenty of features which makes this phone all the smarter.

The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic’s design is more in line with older XpressMusic models namely 5310 and 5320. The 5630 is a one of the super slim s60 series smartphones with 112 x 46 x 12mm dimension. It only weighs 83gms. On the right side of the phone is the volume control button, camera button and MicroSD memory card slot. Above the display screen is the ambient light sensor and the secondary video call camera. On the topside, you can find the 3.5mm audio jack along with the micro USB slot. At the backside of the phone, you can find 3.15 megapixel camera and 2 loudspeaker grills.

It has a QVGA display with a screen size of 240 x 320 pixels (2.2inches) and displays 16 million colors. The display of this phone is not the best when viewed under the sun. The buttons on the keypad are well spaced and easy to use while text messaging or navigating any feature of the phone.

The Nokia 5630 runs on 600MHz ARM11 processor which is one of the quickest processors among all the Nokia phones. The phone comes with an internal memory of 128mb. It has the powerful Symbian 9.3 OS with s60 Feature Pack 3.2 which makes navigating through the features all the more easy. The phone comes with a 4GB memory card. You can add up to 16GB without worrying about slow performance. The 3 megapixel camera is a Full Focus camera (without an autofocus feature and also without a lens cover). It comes with a dual LED flash. Video can be recorded at 15fps in MPEG-4 format; however the recorded video is not of good clarity.nokia-5630-e-33

The sound through the loudspeaker of this phone is of good quality though some may feel that it is unpleasant. The music player plays various audio files such as MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC and M4A. The music player application is very similar to other XpressMusic phones and comes with 5 equalizer presets. The Say and Play option allows you to play song by saying the track name. The sound clarity can be best experienced through its headphones. The RealPlayer application plays videos of following formats: WMV, RV, MP4 and 3GP. In order to play other video files you need to download a third party application.

You will also have a wonderful time browsing on the internet as the browser performs well and does not slow down thanks to the good amount of RAM present on the system. You can view documents, spreadsheets, PDF files and presentations by means of the mobile office application. The ZIP manager allows you to access ZIP files. You can also play Nokia N-Gage games on this phone. Some of the other features of the phone include USB 2.0, Blutetooth with A2DP, WLAN, HSDPA and HSUPA support.

It has got a long lasting battery that gives 7 hours of talktime and 400 hours of standby-by time. The only drawback of this phone is the screen size. You feel the need of a larger display screen when you record or watch videos on it. The fully loaded phone also lacks GPS. To conclude, it is truly a wonderful phone available at a very reasonable price.
