Nokia has launched a new line of phones – the Xseries. Nokia X3 is the first phone that belongs to the Xseries. This Symbian S40 series phone is out with a fresh angular look. Nokia has also released another Xseries phone – Nokia X6 (a touch phone). We are going to review the X6 later but let us go ahead and talk about the reasonable S40 slider phone.
The first look at the Nokia X series phone will remind you of the XpressMusic series phones of Nokia. Its compact design houses a 2.2 inch display screen that has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The display clarity is not the best but surprisingly it was found to be good enough when viewed under direct sunlight. On the left side of the display, you will find the dedicated music keys. Below the display is the standard D-pad together with the usual soft and call keys.Sliding the display upwards will unveil the keypad.
At the top of the phone, you will find a 3.5mm audio jack and charger port present without any protective cover. Stereo speakers are also located at the top and at the bottom of the phone. On the left side of the phone, you can find the microSD slot, volume rocker and camera buttons. The S40 Symbian OS (6th edition) brings multi-tasking to the Nokia X3 phone, however it is not impressive.
The Nokia X3 comes without wireless internet connectivity and lacks 3G support. The web browser, Opera Mini 4.2 comes preloaded on the phone and helps you achieve faster browsing experience only through EDGE. The X3 has an internal memory of 46mb and comes with 2GB microSD card. The phone can easily detect and read 16GB memory card.
The 3.2 megapixel cam of X3 is without flash and has a very simple interface. The quality of the snaps taken through the camera is low. However, the colors were found to be realistic. Videos can be recorded at 15fps and the clarity of the recorded videos is nothing special. It can play videos of formats such as MPEG4, H263 and H264.
Even though the Nokia X3 is a music oriented phone, it still sports an old S40 audio player with equalizer settings. The audio clarity through the boxed headphones and loudspeakers was found to be quite good. The stereo FM can be played without connecting headphones to the phone, because it comes with integrated radio aerial.
The standard Li-Ion 860 mAh battery will let you talk continuously for over 7 hours and play music continuously for over 26 hours. All in all the Nokia X3 is a good phone but with many good options available in the market, it will not be able to survive tough competition.

very good phone …As a good music phone, the Nokia X3 incorporates stereo speakers and enough storage capacity. In this model we must opt for microSD cards to reach up to 16 GB of space. check the review – http://www.techarena.in/review/34391-nokia-x3-mobile-phone-review.htm
