The phone has rounded corners that are smooth and its body is made up of plastic. It weighs 133g which is slightly on the heavy side and measures 100.5 x 59.5 x 16.9 mm.

The Palm Pre Plus has a TFT capacitive touchscreen that has a display resolution of 320 x 480 pixels that measures 3.1 inches. The accelerometer feature function performs well in rotating the display when you turn the phone horizontally and vertically. The display appears to be clear even in direct sunlight. The display also supports multi-touch. Sliding the display in the vertically direction will reveal the 4-row QWERTY keyboard. The buttons on the keyboard are large but people with larger hands can face difficulty in using it.

On the sides of the Palm Pre Plus, you can access the volume controller, power/screen lock button, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, and a sliding lever that can help in switching the phone to silent mode. At the back, there is a 3.0 megapixel camera with LED flash and speaker. The microSD can be accessed by removing the battery. The internal memory of the phone is 16GB with a RAM of 256MB.

All the features like messaging, email, phonebook and calendar are similar to the OS found on Palm Pre. The WebKit browser is performs quite fast and renders pages very well. It does not support Flash but other than this it gives a wonderful browsing experience. You can connect to the web at 3G speed of 3.6Mbps HSDPA and Wi-Fi. You can transfer data through v2.1 Bluetooth and microUSB. The Palm Pre Plus also lets you use it as a 3G Mobile Hotspot.

You can navigate through GPS by making use of the Google Maps or the respective app from Verizon and AT&T. You can make use of document viewer to open Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. There is a separate viewer for PDF files. The audio playback was found to be okay. You can play video files like 3GP and MP4 on this Palm Pre Plus and does not support XVID and DIVX. The camera application is simple to use.

The images taken outside were acceptable; however the ones taken inside appeared to be grainy and noisy. In other words, the flash was found to be of no use. Sadly, the phone does not allow you to record videos. The standard Li-Ion 1150 mAh battery gives a stand-by time of up to 300 hours and talk time of up to 5 hours.
