The name Samsung B7722 may not sound interesting to you but you will be astonished to know that it is a dual SIM phone with plenty of features. The phone is available in black color and has a shiny silver frame around the display. It measures 113.5 x 55.5 x 14.3 mm and weighs only 112g. The resistive TFT touchscreen measures 3.2 inches. It can display 256k colors at a display resolution of 240 x 400 pixels.
Below the display, there are three buttons – Send, Back and End keys. Above the display, you can find a secondary video calling camera and at the rear you can find a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. On the left side of the Samsung B7722, there is a volume controller and microUSB port. The microUSB port can be used for connecting charger, data cable and 3.5mm audio headset. On the right side, you can find the display lock/unlock button, the SIM switch and the camera button. You can access the memory card by uncovering the back panel. The phone can detect up to 8GB of microSD. Below the battery, there are two SIM card slots. 3G SIM cards can be used in SIM 1 slot only.
As expected, the Samsung B7722 comes with Samsung TouchWiz interface. It allows you to change home screens and add numerous widgets. You will have a tough time setting email accounts on this phone as it requires you to enter the settings manually. There are plenty of apps on the phone such as office document viewer, Google Maps, MySpace, Facebook, etc. The onscreen QWERTY is user-friendly. However, because of the sluggishness of the interface, you will experience slowness in typing messages.
The 5 megapixel camera with LED flash is truly capable of taking high quality photos. You can record QVGA resolution videos at 30fps. The music player is simple and has got features like equalizer presets and album art. There is no dedicated video player on Samsung B7722. You can videos through the file browserYou can connect to the web through 3G and Wi-Fi. Samsung’s Dolphin 1.5 web browser loads pages quickly and with one-touch zoom, you can easily zoom into any area of the web page. There is no GPS unit on the phone. The standard 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery gives a talk time of over 12 hours and standby time of over 400 hours.
