The phone measures 122.4 x 64.2 x 11mm and weighs only 132g. The very first thing that will strike when you look it at this phone is the Super AMOLED capactive touchscreen that measures 4 inches. The display is capable of displaying 16m colors at a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The display is somewhat viewable when the phone is used outdoors.

Below the display of the Samsung Omnia 7, you can find one physical Home button and two capactive buttons – Back and Search. On the left side of the phone, you can find the volume controller and on the right side of the phone, you can find display lock/power button and the camera launcher key. On the top side of the phone, you can find the 3.5mm audio headset and microUSB port. On the rear, you can find the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash along with the loudspeaker.

The user interface of Windows Phone 7 is filled with different kinds of hubs such as ‘People’, ‘Games’, ‘Office’, ‘Music and Videos’. When you click on any of the hubs, for instance ‘Games’, you will be shown all the content that is related to Games present on the phone and on the internet. The homescreen appears to be simple but has got Live Tiles which can play photo slideshows and other content when you use the phone. You can click on the arrow present on the homescreen in the blank area to access the Main Menu where you can find all the apps present on the phone. The Samsung Omnia 7 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor which is the reason you can experience seamless performance on the phone. There is no memory card slot on the phone. The internal memory of the phone is 8GB/16GB. The 5 megapixel camera with LED flash is capable of recording HD videos at 720p. As far as the image quality is concerned, the images appear to be very realistic and rich in color when taken in any lighting conditions.

The Samsung Omnia 7 has got the Internet Explorer Mobile web browser. Even though it lacks flash, it loads heavy web pages quickly and its smooth scrolling feature will enable to navigate across web pages easily. You can connect to the web on 3G at 7.2Mbps on HSUPA and 5.76Mbps on HSDPA and WLAN. You can also use it as a GPS device as it comes with support for assisted GPS. The standard 1500 Li-Ion mAh battery gives a standby time of over 300 hours on 3G and talk time of over 6 hours on 3G.
