Samsung S8000 Jet, Stunning Phone With Powerful Touchscreen Display

Samsung S8000 Jet is yet another touchscreen marvel from Samsung and those are thinking to buy LG KM900 Arena should definitely consider checking out the review of S8000. Decked up with 3D interface, 5 megapixel camera, wireless internet connectivity and all the other major features, this cellphone easily becomes a ‘must buy’. The phone is shipped in a very small box with items like microUSB cable, user manual, earphones, 2GB microSD card, leather case and software disc.
The size of Samsung Jet S8000 is the same as LG KM9000 Arena but interestingly, the weight is quite less. Most Samsung touchscreen cell phones look quite similar. Hence, you may find it difficult to differentiate this phone from some of the other touch-enabled phones from Samsung. The big screen AMOLED display (3.1 inch) of Samsung S8000 Jet is the first thing that will strike you. Hence, image quality of this phone is simply outstanding. The resistive display reacts to anything such as stylus, pencil, nails, etc. However, the display of the phone is not the best under direct sunlight.
The buttons that are present below the display screen includes Call, End and 3D Cube keys. Above the display are the ambient light sensor and the proximity sensor. On the left, you can find the volume controller and on the right you can find the hardware lock button. On the same side, you can also find a combination button for Cube Launcher/ Motion Gate and shutter. On the top of the phone is 3.5mm audio and microUSB port.
At the back, the autofocus 5 megapixel camera is provided with dual LED flash and comes without a lens cover. However, the raised edge around it is enough for providing the protection to it. It allows you to record videos at 30fps with amazing clarity. You can also find a loudspeaker grill; however, the sad part about it is that S8000 Jet lacks stereo speakers. Below the battery, lie the slots for SIM card and microSD. If you want to remove the memory card, you will have to open the back cover. The phone comes with an internal memory of 2GB/8GB and it can be expanded up to 16GB.
The new 3D Media gate application gives you a cube interface to access multimedia features: internet browser, music player, video player, radio, photo album and games. The new Motion gate application lets you access your favorite multimedia features by moving, tilting and tapping the phone. The internet browser comes with AdBlocker that allows you to open 5 webpages at one time. The other feature of the Samsung S8000 Jet include personal organizer, 3G (HSDPA – 3.6 Mbps), assisted GPS, Bluetooth with A2DP and Wi-Fi.
