The phone measures 123.9 x 59.8 x 11.8 mm and weighs 135g. It has a very solid feel and is made up of durable material.

On the left side of the Samsung S8530 II Wave, you can find the volume controller. On the right, there is a camera button and display lock key. On the top, there is a microUSB port and 3.5mm audio headset jack. At the bottom, there is no button. There is a 5 megapixel camera located at the rear along with small LED flash.

It has got a Super Clear LCD capacitive touchscreen that is capable of displaying 16 million colors. It measures 3.7 inches and has a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It gives good viewing angles and the display is quite clear under direct sunlight.

As far as entertainment is concerned, the wide display is very good for viewing movies. It supports all kinds of video files including DivX and XviD files. The music player is simple yet has all features of a good player. It has got equalizer presets and Samsung’s DNSe sound enhancement technology gives stunning sound output.

You can connect to the internet through Wi-Fi and 3G. The Dolphin web browser 2.0 supports Flash and it lets you view several pages at one time. It supports multi-touch and zooming options. There is Quick Translate which uses Google Translate to translate text on web pages. The assisted GPS works well with Samsung Mobile Navigator. The 1500 mAh battery gives a stand-by time of 500 hours on 3G and talk time of 6 hours on 3G.
