The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is the first phone of the Xperia series. With superior hardware specifications and a distinct arc slider design, it is a great choice for everyone looking to buy a new phone. Based on Windows Mobile 6.1, both its features and form is extremely user friendly, enabling the user to get used to the phone in no time.
Interface
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1’s home screen interface comes with nine unique panels, all of which have distinct functionalities and can be switched by the user as and when required. This unique feature of the phone allows the user to choose exact which functionality he would prefer on his home screen. This allows users to customize the Xperia according to their viewing and usage preferences. It supports a 3G broadband internet’connection with a high speed of data transfer, enabling smooth web surfing, emailing, video and audio streaming, and multimedia messaging.
Design
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1weighs about 158 gms (including the battery weight), and measures about 4.33 X 2.09 X 0.66 inches. It comes in two attractive colors; steel silver and solid black. It has a three inches TFT display along with a resolution of 800 X 480 pixels supporting up to 65000 color. Its unique design give the users an additional reason to buy this gadget. With all the ports conveniently placed, a smooth an easy to use keypad which emerges once the touch screen slides out, and curvy edges, this phone stands out from all the others in the market at present.
Features
The XPERIA X1 is the first Sony Ericsson phone that supports the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. It comes with Windows Media Player Mobile and Microsoft Office Mobile.
It has a 3.2 megapixel camera (with auto focus and photo light) which can record videos in VGA (640 X 480) quality at about 30 frames per second. It also comes with additional data transfer facilities like Bluetooth, Wi-fi, and a port for its proprietary data cable.
This must have gadget has an internal memory of 512 MB and an option to add extended memory using microSD cards, which can be expanded to a maximum of 32 GB. It also has the AGPS navigation, RSS feed aggregator, and the alternate line service features.
