Samsung Intercept Review

Samsung Intercept is a Sprint carrier with the Android OS. Sprint had released 3 other Android phones in the recent past – Samsung Moment, HTC Hero and HTC EVO 4G. These smartphones were premium devices. However, the Samsung Intercept is a mid-range phone. It feels good to hold this phone as it weighs only 139g and measures 113 x 56 x 15 mm. The TFT touchscreen display of the phone measures 3.2 inches and has a display resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and is capable of displaying 65k colors. It has also got accelerometer feature for automatically rotating the phone when you hold it horizontally or vertically.

Below the display of the Samsung Intercept are present four capactive keys. There is an optical joystick as well as send and end physical buttons. On the right side of the phone, you 3.5mm audio jack and the camera key whereas the on the left side you can find the volume controller and the microSD sot. The microUSB charging port is located at the top. The 3.2 megapixel camera is located at the rear. At the bottom, you can find the speaker.

HTC Aria Review

HTC Aria is an Android powered AT&T phone. The phone is available at a low price with a 2 year contract. Moreover, this smart phone has got plenty of features. If you are a fan of HTC phones, the moment you hold the HTC Aria you will realize that the phone looks quite similar to HTC HD mini. The HTC Aria measures 4.6 x 2.3 x 0.47 inches and weighs 107.7g. The HTC Aria has a display that measures 3.2inches and has got features like accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, touch-sensitive buttons (Home, Menu, Back and Search) and Optical trackpad. It is a capacitive TFT touchscreen that is capable of displaying 256k colors at a display resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The display was found to be barely usable in direct sunlight.

On the left side of the Phone, you can find the volume controller and at the top there is power button through which the phone can be hibernated. Slightly on the left of the power button, you will find the 3.5mm stereo headset jack. At the bottom, you can find the mic and the USB connector. The phone has got an internal memory of 384MB and comes with a 2GB microSD. You can also expand the external memory up to 32GB. The Android OS v2.1 Éclair is powered with Qualcomm MSM 7227 600Mhz processor. We did not experience any lag whatsoever while using this phone.

LG Ally Review – Android Phone with Cool Features

Powered by Verizon, LG Ally is the new Android phone that has got cool features and is often compared with other Android phones like HTC DROID ERIS and Motorola DEVOUR. Like Motorola DEVOUR, the LG Ally is a slider phone. The overall design of the LG Ally VS740 is not the best and it just looks any other large screen display phone. It has got rounded corners and it measures 4.56 x 2.22 x 0.62 inches. The phone is slightly on a bulky side as it weighs 158g. The phone’s body is made up of plastic and appears to be quite durable.

The capactive touchscreen of the LG Ally measures 3.2 inches. It is a WVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and is capable of displaying 262k colors. The display of the HTC DROID ERIS and Motorola DEVOUR are of similar size but has less resolution. Images and text appear crisp and clear but becomes unclear when you view it under direct sunlight. Below the display screen, you can find two touch-sensitive buttons meant for back and search and also you can find four physical buttons meant for send, home, menu and end/screen lock/power. Above the display, there is a small notification light that displays different colors for notifying new message, call alerts, low battery, and charging.

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 Review – 4 inch Display and Plays HD Videos

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 is very attractive phone with the largest Super AMOLED display across any cell phone brand. The phone is quite slim and has fully loaded with features. The body of this beautiful phone is made up of plastic just like all the Samsung Omnia phones. The only problem with the plastic is that it attracts fingerprints easily.

The most powerful feature of the phone is the 4 inch Super AMOLED display. The display is so brilliant that you will not find any problems in viewing it under direct sunlight. The display resolution of the huge capactive touchscreen display is 480 x 800 pixels and supports multi-touch input and swype text input. Apart from that the display also has features like touch-sensitive controls, accelerometer and proximity sensor.

HTC Legend Review – One of the Best Android Phones in the Market

Ever since the Android OS was launched, HTC has been manufacturing some of the best Android phones in the market. Running on Android 2.1, the HTC Legend is loaded with loaded with plenty of features. HTC Legend is the successor phone of HTC Hero. The phone’s body is made up of metal and appears very sturdy. You will feel very comfortable to hold the phone. It weighs 126g and has a dimension of 112 x 56.3 x 11.5mm.

 It has a AMOLED capactive touchscreen display that measures 3.2 inches and is capable of displaying 16m colors at a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It supports multi-touch and has a very clear display under direct sunlight. Below the display of the HTC Legend, you can find the physical hardware buttons like home, menu, back and search. Instead of the trackball, you can find an optical trackpad for navigating through your phone. At the top side of the HTC Legend, you can find the 3.5mm headphone and the power button. On the right side of the phone, there are no buttons whereas on the left you can find the volume rocker. At the bottom, you can find the microUSB slot, mic and the lanyard eyelet.

HTC Droid Incredible Review – Incredible Desire

The HTC Droid Incredible is an Android phone that has been made available through Verizon Wireless. The long awaited Droid Incredible was expected to look good, however we came to realize that there is nothing remarkable about the looks of the phone. We expected the phone to have some sort of futuristic appeal; however the phone looks quite mundane. When you hold the phone in your hand, you will realize that the quality of construction is nothing special. The phone weighs only 130 grams and measures 4.63 x 2.30 x 0.47 inches.

Many people who have made use of this phone feel that the phone is very similar to HTC Desire. The AMOLED capactive touchscreen display is able to display 16M colors at 480 x 800 pixels. It supports multi-touch and measures 3.7 inches. The accelerometer feature responds well in turning the display horizontal or vertical as and when you turn your phone horizontal or vertical.
