Ten Apple iPhone Keyboard Shortcuts and Tips

There are quite a few Apple iPhone keyboard shortcuts that many are not aware of. Here are some of them:

  1. When you make mistakes while typing texts on your iPhone, it suggests you with words to correct the misspelled words. If you wish, you can accept the suggestion by pressing the SPACE bar and if you do not wish to accept the suggestion, you can simply continue typing.
  2. You can add frequently used words such as your name, address, names of your friends and so on to the iPhone’s custom dictionary, so that it does not prompts you that you have typed a wrong spelling when you use frequently used words.
  3. Double tapping on the SPACE bar lets you add a full-stop followed by a space.
  4. In order to scroll to the bottom of a web page on your Safari browser, you can simply tap at the bottom of the page and if you want go quickly to the top of the page; you can tap on the top of the page.
  5. In order to zoom into an image, map or any area on a web page, you can simply double-tap on them.
  6. In order to count the characters of your message, you can go to Settings > Messages > Character Count > and then choose On and Off. This will help you view the character count at the end of the text.
  7. In order to insert special keys quickly, all you need to do is gently press and hold the associated letters to insert he special symbol. This is good a way to insert currency symbols, punctuation marks, etc.
  8. In order to access local TV listing, you can visit the web page and then click on the plus button and add it to the home screen.
  9. Whenever you type a web address on the Safari browser, you can simply press .com button. However, if you wish to add other domain extensions, you can press and hold .com to add domain names like .org, .net, .edu, .cn, and so on.
  10. If you would like to use any other language other than English for creating texts, you can add an international keyboard. This can be done by going into the Settings> General > Keyboard> International Keyboards and then choose and add the desired language from the list.
