BlackBerry Bold 9780 is the successor to theĀ RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 that was released last year. We were disappointed to know that the phone looks very identical to the predecessor phone. The phone measures 109 x 60 x 14 mm and weighs 122g.
The size of the TFT display is 2.44 inches and has a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels and supports 65m colors. The display is quite decent and viewing angles are also good. Users will not find it difficult to view the contents of the display outdoors. The portrait style QWERTY keyboard works flawlessly, however people with large fingers can face some problems initially. Between the display and the keyboard you can find the optical trackpad along with the physical buttons like Send, End, Menu and Back.
BlackBerry Bold has been a breakthrough product offering from BlackBerry being the first of its models to feature the 3G HSDPA. It has also been dubbed as the ‘faster’ cousin of all the other models in the BlackBerry family and much of this is due to the 624 MHz CPU processing that it offers. As a result, it combines faster operations along with having a tough built and the presence of some innovative features, making it the best-packaged smartphone on offer.
