Using Chat Messengers on Your Cell Phone

morange_001After emailing and browsing, one of the most preferred activities online is using chat messengers to stay in touch with your friends and colleagues. With high speed internet connectivity now available for cell phones, the same activities that are done on a PC with an internet connection can be now done on a cell phone without any issues.

All you need to have is a phone that allows you to access internet on it. You can simply ask your cell phone network service provider to activate GPRS on your phone. In order to chat on your cell phone, you need to install a chatting messenger application on your phone.

However, in some cases it has been noticed that chatting applications do not connect to the server even when internet connection is enabled. This may happen if you are using a basic (usually free) GPRS connection. You will not face such a problem if you go for an advanced GPRS connection.

There are many instant messengers that not only allow you to get in touch with friends one chat program such as  Yahoo or MSN but also to get in touch with all the chat programs such as Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk, etc through a single application. Here are some of the famous multiple instant messengers available such as Agile Messenger, MobiChat, VeriChat, IMPlus, Mig33, Morange, eBuddy and Fringe etc.

These chat messengers gives you access to friends from various messengers such as Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk, AIM, ICQ, Skype, Facebook, MySpace and more.  These messengers are mostly available for free and can be downloaded from the respective website. All you need to do is download the respective application from the website to your computer and then to your phone for installation. You can even directly download the application to your phone. Some chat messengers also allow you to open several accounts of a particular chatting program which means you can open several Yahoo and Gtalk accounts at the same time.

You can also start chatting on your phone without downloading an application. The best example would be eBuddy’s LIte Messenger. You can directly start chatting by opening website link on the mobile phone browser and start real time chatting without downloading and installation of any application on your phone.

Accessing chat messengers on your phone does not mean that you will spend more money if in case you have been chatting on your cell phone for a long time.  So save your time and get convenience while you are on the move, by chatting with your near and dear ones through your cell phone by installing a chat messenger on on your cell phone
