Using Wireless Keyboard with Nokia 5800


Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is one of the best phones Nokia has ever released. It allows you listen to music, take snaps, record movies, surf net at 3G speed, access Wi-Fi and even read and edit office documents. You can even install a wireless Bluetooth keyboard to your phone and use it for typing messages, emails or for editing documents.

Here are steps for using wireless Bluetooth keyboard with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone:

1. You need download and install application called Nokia Wireless keyboard on your phone. Installing this application will make your phone work with the Bluetooth wireless keyboard.

In order to download the application, you need to open following address in the web browser of your phone:

The phone will prompt you to download the application. Press OK to continue with the downloading of the file.

After the download has completed, you need to select Options and then Open and then select OK to start installing the application.

Choose where you want to install the application, you can install it the phone memory or in the memory card and then continue further by pressing OK.

Once the installation is completed, you can exit the browser.

2. Connect your Bluetooth keyboard to your phone when the phone is in stand-by.

3. Press the white menu button and then open Applications. All the applications that are installed on your phone will be listed here.

4. Select Wireless Keyboard to launch it.

5. Keep your Bluetooth keyboard near your phone and turn it on.

6. On the application on your phone, select Options and select Find Keyboard and then select More Devices.

7. If your phone has found the keyboard, it will list it. You can stop the search and select the keyboard from the list. The phone will start to pair with your keyboard. Select OK.

8. You will be asked to enter a passcode, you can type any number as code. E.g. 12345

9. On the keyboard, you need to type in the same passcode and press the Enter button.

10. Once the pairing process has completed, you can choose the language as per the layout of your keyboard.

11. Your Bluetooth wireless keyboard is now connected with your phone and is ready to use. If your phone fails to find the keyboard during the pairing process, you can try repeating from the second step.
