LG Sentio Review

LG Sentio is a cool candybar phone from T-Mobile that comes with large touchscreen, 3.0 megapixel camera, social networking apps and 3G internet connectivity.  LG has always been known for designing good looking phones and even LG Sentio is one such phone that has got futuristic design and sleek appearance. The phone measures 107 x 53 x 13mm and weighs only 94g. The resistive touchscreen measures 3.0 inches and is capable of displaying 262k colors at a display resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. While using the handset outdoors, you will have to shield the display from the sun so that you can view it clearly.

Below the display, there are three circular shaped buttons which includes the Call, Back and End keys.  On the left side of the phone, you can find the volume controller, Task Menu button and the charger port which can be also used for connecting headset.  On the right side of LG Sentio, you can find the camera button and display lock/unlock button. There is no microSD slot on this phone. To access the memory card, you will have to uncover the battery cover. There is no 3.5mm audio headset jack.

LG Sentio’s interface is the same old one that is found on other LG phones such as Prada and Viewty. It allows you to add widgets to the home screen. The landscape onscreen QWERTY keyboard is very user-friendly. You can setup email accounts and access your inbox various accounts easily. You can also get in touch with your buddies on AIM, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger. The TeleNav GPS Navigator does well in providing voice guided navigation.

The 3 megapixel camera takes amazing photos with accurate details but the color saturation is not perfect. You can record videos at QVGA resolution. The music player present on LG Sentio is nothing special and is capable of playing audio formats. The sound output through the loudspeaker is not very loud even when songs are played at the loudest volume. The video player can play videos without any performance glitches. The internal memory of the phone is 80MB and the external memory can detect up to 16GB of microSD.

You can connect to the internet through 3G and WLAN.  The web browser loads web pages exactly the same way you would see on a computer. The standard Li-Ion 900 mAh battery gives a talk time of 6 hours and standby time of over 350 hours.
