Motorola CLIQ 2 Review

Motorola had released the original CLIQ phone in the year 2009 and then came the Motorola CLIQ XT and now they are back with the new edition of the phone – the CLIQ 2. This adds another phone to the list of T-Mobile phones. The phone weighs 116 x 59.6 x 14.5mm and weighs 175g. The front slider phone has a good appeal especially when the QWERTY is revealed.

The capacitive display of Motorola CLIQ 2 measures 3.7 inches and has a display resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This resolution is the same that is found in DROID 2. However, the overall brightness of the phone is not much and viewing it in bright sunlight is not easy. As you go on a journey around the sides of the phone, you can find the 3.5mm audio headset jack, microUSB port, an LED notification light, camera key, volume controller, power button, etc. At the rear is the 5 megapixel camera with autofocus function and flash. The QWERTY keyboard can be accessed by sliding the display. It is very user-friendly and keys are well spaced to give good messaging experience.

The Motorola CLIQ 2 is powered with 1 GHz processor, 512MB RAM and 1024MB ROM. The internal memory of the phone is 1GB and the microSD slot can read up to 32GB of memory. The phone performs smoothly, however its responsiveness is not the best when it comes to navigation and using multiple applications simultaneously. The Android v2.2 phone brings to you the power of live wallpapers. The latest edition of MOTOBLUR is found in this phone. The Social Networking gives you access to host of apps like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Linkedin and many more.

The 5 megapixel camera of Motorola CLIQ 2 snaps good photos with decent details but the images are not that impressive when artificial lighting comes into play. The LED flash does well in reducing the noise. You can high resolution videos of 720p on this phone at 28fps. Watching movies or listening to music is quite a good experience on this phone.

Motorola CLIQ 2’s internet browser supports Flash 10.1 which gives you desktop like browsing experience. You can enjoy high speed web surfing on the phone through 3G and WLAN. The standard Li-Ion battery of 1420 mAh gives a standby time of over 310 hours and talk time of nearly 8 hours.
