Motorola Evoke Review

Motorola QA4 Evoke is a touch screen that is designed to help you stay in touch with your social networking contacts. The phone looks very beautiful and has rounded edges and measures 108 x 50.5 x 0.69 inches and weighs 128g. It has got a resistive touchscreen display that measures 2.8 inches and has a display resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and has the capability to display 262k colors. The display appears to be very bright, however when the view the phone under sunlight, you will not be able to see the contents of the display clearly.

Sliding the display upwards will let you access the alphanumeric keypad. The back side of the Motorola Evoke is made up of rubber which provides you the grip to hold the phone. Since the phone has been designed who are into texting, the keypad is very user-friendly and lets you easily type messages.

You can make use of 7 home screens on this phone and each screen lets you visualize one widget. You can change the screens by sliding the finger horizontally. Since the phone frequently updates the widgets, you will be able to access the latest information. There are plenty of widgets to choose from such as weather forecast, internet browser, RSS feeds, YouTube, and MySpace.

The 2 megapixel autofocus camera is of mediocre quality and there is no flash. If there is bright light, the images look nice. The sound output of Microsoft Evoke through the earphones and loudspeaker was fond to be decent.

The internal memory of the phone is 256MB and it can detect up to 8GB of microSD through its external memory. You can perform data transfer via 2.0 Bluetooth and 2.0 USB.  Motorola Evoke has a full HTML browser and we did not face any problems while navigating through web pages. The assisted GPS is okay and it functions well if you use it with Google Maps. Last but not the least, the battery of the Motorola Evoke gives a talk time of 330 minutes and standby time of 450 hours.
