Nokia C7 Review

Nokia C7 is a phone that looks quite similar to Nokia N8. However, the things that works in the favor Nokia C7 is that it looks slimmer and curvier and is available at low price compared to N8. Its design and glossy

appearance will make you understand that this phone will look good in the hands of fairer sex. The phone measures 117.3 x 56.8 x 10.5 mm and weighs 130g.

Nokia C7 has got a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive display screen that is able to display 16 million colors at a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. There is a secondary video calling camera situated on the upper right corner of the display along with the ambient light and proximity sensors. Below the display, you can find three physical buttons – Menu, Answer and Ignore.

On the top, there is a power button which also functions as screen lock. MicroUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack (which can be used as TV-out) is also situated at the top. On the left, there is a 2mm charger slot. On the right, you can find the volume controller and camera shutter button. At the rear, there is a 8 megapixel camera along with the dual LED flash.

The Symbian^3 OS is very user-friendly and on its homescreens you can up to 6 widgets on each page. It runs on 680 MHz process and comes with 3D Graphics HW accelerator, 256MB RAM and 1GB ROM. The internal memory is of 8GB and the external memory can read up to 32GB of microSD.

Nokia C7’s 8 megapixel camera lacks autofocus which means you will not be able to take good shots of closer objects within a distance of one meter. Otherwise, the image quality is sharp and decent. The phone allows you to record videos in three different resolutions namely HD (720p at 25 fps), VGA and low resolution (mms quality). The inbuilt loudspeaker is not impressive as there is no stereo output. You can play wide range of video formats on this phone.

Nokia C7 is quite good when it comes to location based navigation thanks to Ovi Maps. Connecting to the internet can be done through WLAN and 3G (speeds of 10.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps on HSUPA). The 1200 mAh battery gives a stand by time of nearly 645 hours on 3G and up to 5 hours of talk time on 3G.
