HTC Desire Review

htc-desire_1HTC Desire is one of the most desirable phones of HTC. However, it has an uncanny resemblance to Google Nexus One. HTC Desire is by far the most powerful Android phones HTC has manufactured till date. HTC Desire has metal framing around the display and the back is made up of plastic. Hence, it does not appear to be a sturdy phone. The memory card and SIM card are placed beneath the battery; hence, you are required to take out the battery in order to access the microSD and SIM card.

The phone weighs 135g and appears to be bulky as it has got a 3.7 inch display screen that makes use of AMOLED technology. The display of the phone was not clearly visible under direct sunlight. The capactive touchscreen display measure 3.7 inches and has a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It also supports multi-touch. Below the display, you can find the standard Android buttons such as home screen, menu, back and search. Instead of the trackball, you can find an optical pad.

google-nexus-oneGoogle is all set to start the new year with a bang with its first smart phone release – Nexus One.

A full touch screen smartphone based on the Android OS, this phone is touted to be the iPhone killer (really? there has been too many ‘iPhone killers’, but none has lived up to expectations, so far).

No hardware specifications are available as yet, but it has been confirmed to be manufactured by HTC.

The unlocked Nexus One is said to be available straight from Google via http://www.google.com/phone (not live at time of posting, but keep a look out) at the price of US$530, and it is also available in US with a T-mobile plan.

Do you think this Google phone will live up to the hype? Do share your thoughts on it!
