AT&T brings to you the new HTC smartphone – HTC Tilt 2. The USP of the phone is its tilting touchscreen display. The very first look at the phone will make you understand that it is business phone. It has got a distinct style and looks very elegant and sleek. The phone measures 116 x 59.2 x 17.3 mm and weighs 178.5g. It has got WVGA tilting touchscreen display that measures 3.6 inches with a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The accelerometer feature automatically rotates the display very smoothly when you hold it horizontally or vertically. Below the display, you can find four buttons – send, end, home and back/clear buttons.

At the bottom of the HTC Tilt 2, you can find the miniUSB port for data transfer, charging and as well as connecting the boxed headphones. The phone lacks 3.5mmm audio jack. The power button is located at the top. The volume controller and the push-to-talk can be accessed from the left side of the phone. There are no buttons on the right but a small at towards the bottom where the stylus is present. The 3.2 megapixel camera is present at the back. Sliding the display horizontally towards the right as well as tilting the display will reveal the 5-row QWERTY keyboard. The buttons are well-sized and well spaced and if you have got large fingers, you will not face much problems typing on it.

The HTC Tilt has got Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system powered with Qualcomm MSM7200A 528Mhz processor. HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface on the WinMo 6.5 gives a good user experience as it allows you to access your favorite apps through shortcuts. Acer beTouch E200 Review

Acer beTouch E200 is a cool cell phone that not only looks ravishing but also got plenty of features. Even though is slightly heavy as it weighs 146g and measures 110 x 53.5 x 15.4 mm, it feels amazing to hold this phone. The phone has been built magnificently. It has a 3 inch-resistive touchscreen display that easily catches fingerprints. It has a display resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The display does not become unclear when viewed under direct sunlight which means you will not face much viewing problems while using your phone outside.

Below the display, you can find the D-pad with the Send and End keys. The sides of the phone are metallic gray in color. You can find the volume controller, display lock key and miniUSB port on the left hand side of the phone whereas on the right hand side you can access the camera shutter. The stylus compartment is located at the upper left side of the phone. Sliding the screen will reveal the numeric keypad with keys that are very easy to press. At the back, you can find the 3.2 megapixel camera along with the loudspeaker.

The Acer beTouch E200 is one of the first smartphones to run the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system and has a very powerful processor – Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor. Sadly, the WinMo 6.5 works slightly slow on the 528Mhz processor. The internal memory of the phone is 256MB with 512MB ROM.

Acer beTouch E200 can detect up to 16GB of microSD. The contacts options provides you with a special button that gives you access to social networking sites like Blogger and Flickr. The dedicated social networking app lets you access Facebook, Flickr, and YouTube. The PocketOffice app lets you view your office documents such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and PDFs.

Acer beTouch E200 has an amazing 3.2 megapixel camera that launches, focuses and takes snaps quickly. However, we noticed that the images appeared to be blurry and lacked details and snaps appeared worse when they were taken at night or dim light. You can record videos at 320 x 240 pixels the frames per second at which it captures video is quite low. The Windows Media Player supports playback of DivX and Xvid video formats. The boxed microUSB earphones have good sound output.

Acer beTouch E200 lacks wireless internet connectivity support but lets you surf on the web at 7.2Mbps (HSPDA) and 5.76Mbps (HSUPA) on 3G. The only internet browser on the phone is the Internet Explorer which is good but not the best. We advise you to use Opera Mobile on this phone to browse on the web. The other features on the phone include Bluetooth and assisted GPS. The standard Li-Ion 1140 mAh battery gives a stand-by time of up to 400 hours and talk time of up to 5 hours.

HTC Imagio Review – WinMo Phone with 5MP Cam and Bigger and Wider Display

HTC Imagio XV6975 is a Verizon powered phone with Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system. The phone appears to be bigger and wider than other HTC phones such as HTC Touch Diamond2 and HTC Pro2. The phone has a very sturdy appeal and is quite comfortable to hold. The phone has a WVGA resistive touchscreen display that measure 3.6 inches and has a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The display is very clear and you will no problems whatsoever to view the files outside under the direct sunlight.

Below the display screen, you can find 5 buttons namely Send, End, Mobile TV, Start and Back. The volume controller is present on the right side of the phone and at the bottom you can find a 3.5mm audio jack and a miniUSB port.  At the backside of the phone, you can find the 5 megapixel autofocus camera and lacks a flash. You can also find an external loudspeaker and kickstand located near the camera. Above the display, you can find the secondary video calling camera.

The internal memory of the HTC Imagio, 288MB and can detect up to 16GB of microSD. In order to access the microSD, you will have to pop open the back cover of the phone. The standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery is capable of giving a stand-by time of 324 hours and talk time of nearly 6 hours.

One of the best features of this phone is the TouchFLO 3D user interface. The home screen displays a clock, date, weather of the place where you are located, call alerts, tasks, call log and calendar. The onscreen QWERTY keyboard is very user-friendly and you will be able to create email and text messages without facing any typing issue.

You can browse on the web at a speed of 7.2Mbps (HSDPA) and 2Mbps (HSUPA). You can also connect to the net through Wi-Fi. The HTC Imagio provides you with two web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Opera Mobile. The Opera Mobile browser is not Flash supported and does not play YouTube videos through the browser but instead it opens the video in a separate video player.

The IM client present on the phone lets you connect to your buddies on Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and AIM. The GPS navigation application, VZ Navigator provides perfect GPS guided information and directions. The phone also provides you with other applications such as Adobe Reader and Office Mobile to view your documents.

The Mobile TV app lets you watch a few TV channels on your phone.  However, we noticed the quality of the video was not the best. You can listen to FM radio by connecting the 3.5mm audio headset. The music player plays a wide range of audio files such as MP3, WAV, WMV, and eAAC+. The video player also plays a wide range of video formats such as MP4, WMV, H.264, and H.263. All the snaps that we took outside by means of the 5MP cam was perfectly clear and neat, however the snaps lacked details when they were shot inside. You can record videos in 3GP and MP4 format but the captured videos were not impressive.
